Kentucky Legislature Moving Fast

The 2007 Legislative Session is moving fast. This year is the short session of the Legislature. It meets for 30 working days. On Wednesday the 21st of February we will be at day 15. On March the 12Th all of the bills that will be voted on this session will have been voted on and the veto recess will begin and they will come back into session 10 days later to override any of the governors vetoes they feel need to be overridden.
It is so important that you pray for your legislators and that you be a part of the process. You can go to the Legislative Research Commission web-site and keep up with the bill at www.lrc.ky.gov You can also find your legislators information there and you can e-mail them from the web-site. I hope you are representing your faith well by being active in one of God's creations - The Government.
There are only three institution that God established in the Bible. They are The Family, The Church and The Government. God has given us instructions on how all three should be operated. Let's all do our part to see America Come back to Godly principles.

Western Kentucky Church on Fire for God

Saundra and I were at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Kentucky on Sunday, February 18th. Brother Bill Amberg is pastor there. He has proved his faithfulness with many years of service to the Lord and the folks at the church. We had a great time of fellowship and preaching. Saundra said to me that the folks were the friendliest folks you will ever find anywhere. The picture at the top is (from left to right) Saundra, Brother Joe, Brother Bill and Peggy Amberg. We preached an old fashion message aimed at bringing America back to God through the Church, Family and Home. This church still has the fire of the Gospel in its midst.

UPDATE ON MEETINGS AND TRAVEL

On Sunday February 4th Saundra & I were in Pikeville, Kentucky with the folks at Justiceville Bible Baptist Church. Brother Richard Meek is the interim-pastor. Pray for the church as they are seeking a pastor. Justiceville Bible Baptist Church is a good solid Bible-Believing Church that supports missionaries and want to see souls saved. The above pictures are Brother Richard and the congregation.

On Sunday February 11th we were at Bible Baptist Church in Campbellsville, Kentucky. They have supported our ministry for more than 24 years now. This church gives more than $60,000 a year to mission plus they give to many special projects. Brother Bob Cutler has been a faithful pastor and his wife sue has been right there with him in all the work. Sue is preparing with the church for their Women's Jubilee. They have hosted a Women's Jubilee for almost twenty year.

Two Great Radio Programs

Representative Rom Crimm is featured on last week's and this week's Radio Program. Representative Crimm is a faithful Christian in his service to the Lord and in public life. He has been a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years and loves his class. He is faithful to give the Lord the credit for all things. On these programs he shares how he balances his life and duties and his recent bout with cancer. It is exciting to hear how he trusted the Lord in this serious time of testing. Go to my web-site at www.brotherjoeadams.com and click on radio archives and listen to these two great programs.

Florida Trip during Legislative Recess

While on the legislative recess we took about eleven days to preach our way to Florida and visit some of our supporting churches. On the way down as we reported in our last update we were in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. January 24th we were in Kissimmee, Florida and were able to visit with pastor Jimmy McNeil at Bible Baptist Church. This is one of America's great churches. It has a very balanced ministry from the Christian school to the Senior Adult Ministry. My father-in-law is a member of this church. He lives in Florida from October to May each year and has a very great time at Bible Baptist. I always look forward to visiting with all the folks at the church and this is a great time to see my father-in-law. He loves the Lord and the church God has given him in Florida.
Sunday, January the 28th, we were with a pastor friend that I have known since high school. Dr. Paul Gordon is pastor of First Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida. He and his wife, Beverly pictured to the left with Saundra and I have been serving the Lord in ministry since their high school days. We enjoyed preaching to the folks at First Baptist and spending some quality time with Pastor Paul and Miss Beverly. It is encouraging to know folks who stay faithful to God and His Call.
